YOD Gallery is pleased to present “Reframing, vol.2”, an exhibition of six ceramic artists.

 

The first exhibition of six ceramic artists “Reframing”(2022) was held at YOD Gallery.

Kunihiro Akinaga, Kouzo Takeuchi and Toshiya Masuda, and three recommended artists: Manami Okayasu, Chisato Yasui and Aya Yamamoto.The exhibition was held under the theme of 'Reinterpretation of Ceramic Art'.

 

In this second exhibition, Akinaga, Takeuchi and Masuda recommend Rie Aizawa, Kotaro and Nagisa Shirai.

When asked about the interest of ceramic art, each artist has a different interpretation of materials, but what they all have in common is that they make good use of materials for their own expression and create works that transcend the genre of expression of the materials.

In this exhibition, three of the artists recommended by Akinaga, Takeuchi and Masuda (Aizawa, Kotaro and Shirai) were born in the 1990s, and if there are any differences the ways to perceive and think about things by the different generations, there could be differences in their artistic expression as well.

 

The six artists from different generations will come together and create an exhibition space. We hope that their generational sensibilities will stimulate each other.
